das-watchdog software package provides solves system lock-ups by making all processes non-realtime, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install das-watchdog
das-watchdog is installed in your system.
Make ensure the das-watchdog package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep das-watchdog *
You will get with das-watchdog package name, version, architecture and description in a table
